About

Jan and Jean will inspire the student to Look, Experiment, Design and Stitch.

Trees are a timeless, inspirational source of texture, colour and pattern and are accessible to all. Jan and Jean have devised a special workshop for the Knitting & Stitching Show. They have each developed an idea and design based on the tree theme. They will talk about processes and materials, threads and fabrics throughout the session. Their individual works will be shown through all the stages from design to completion using bonded applique and hand stitching. Straight stitch, but not as you may know it, will be explored and exploited. It will end with a gallery of their work incorporating these techniques. As usual, their classes will be informative and they will share their enjoyment of stitch.
