Immediate Media Co, the special interest content and platform company, has announced that its live events businesses, River Street Events and Upper Street Events, have been rebranded as Immediate Live.
Immediate acquired the businesses in 2019, adding a live events portfolio, across the key sectors of art and design, craft, cycling, food, gardening, gift and travel, to complement its market-leading print and digital brands.
Paul Byrom, Managing Director, Immediate Live says: “The events industry has faced huge challenges over the last 12 months, along with valuable learning opportunities about how we better serve our customers. We’ve used this time to develop a compelling offering for our exhibitors, sponsors and, most importantly, our visitors. The rebrand is the culmination of this work, bringing together our heritage and experience within events with a world-class digital platform to support year-round audience engagement across all of our brands. We’re looking forward to doing what we love, meeting people at live events and connecting people with their passions online.”
Immediate Live brings together over 40 years of specialist event experience, producing some of the UK’s most popular consumer events, including BBC Gardeners’ World Live, Hampton Court Food Festival, The London Art Fair, BBC Good Food Show, Move It, The Festival of Quilts and The Cycle Show, welcoming over 500,000 guests a year.
As the owner and operator of some of the UK’s most well-loved media brands, including Radio Times, BBC Good Food, BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine and BBC History Magazine, Immediate reaches a global audience of 87m a month and is the UK’s leading publisher by subscriptions with a subscriber base of over 1.1m.
